PREVENT ASTRAL TRAVELLINGYou can help prevent the body from astral travelling by placing a picture of a master yogi, your favourite spiritual master or a picture of the sacred lotus flower on the wall that is directly in front of the foot of your bed. What happens is that while you are sleeping at night, your astral body will tend to raise upward and then outward from your physical body. This can make you work while you are sleeping and not get proper rest. You can be taken to parts of the mind which are frightening, and this can keep you awake. Having a picture of one of the above suggestions will then remind your astral body that it is a time to rest. Your astral body will then not astral travel. In turn this allows you a better night's sleep. If you do not have a picture of a master yogi or a spiritual master, then you can always draw your own lotus flower and place it on the wall at the foot of your bed. For your convenience, here are 4 pictures you can print. If you do not have Winzip, you can download it for free from winzip.com. HATHA YOGA INFORMATIONWhen people think of Hatha Yoga, they think of stretching poses known as asanas. This book however, written by Yogi Ramacharaka in 1905 deals with another aspect of Hatha Yoga which is just plain and simple healthy living. This book will teach you about good diet, hygiene, breathing, posture and other simple things that help improve your overall health. Since this book doesn't deal with stretching, regardless of your physical condition, you can implement some of the lessons learnt into your every day life. Spelling errors in the original text have not been corrected, and are instead marked with "[sic]". This book is available through the public domain and may be used freely for non-commercial purposes. Please note, while there is a lot of beneficial information in this book, the teachings in this book are not necessarily those of Swami Harinanda and are not necessarily endorsed by Swami Harinanda. This information is provided so students have the opportunity to see what other Yogis such as Yogi Ramacharaka, a famous and well respected Yogi, taught in the late 1800's.
